Event Portrait Photographers Needed

I’m lining up several group event shoots and want a small team of photographers who genuinely enjoy event photography and can deliver clean, flattering portraits. Each assignment is studio-based: you’ll walk into a prepared space, set up basic lighting/backdrops, capture a maximum of 25 guests, grab one extra frame of the person who booked (showing their email from their phone screen), after all assigned guest photos are complete, if any gear was moved out every thing back to where they belong.

What I’m after
• Primary focus: portraits that look polished but natural.
• Level: intermediate—newer shooters are welcome if you’re confident with camera settings, on-site direction, and simple Lightroom/Photoshop colour tweaks or LUT filters.
• Output: some events need quick, light colour grading; others just require well-exposed RAWs. Either way, you’ll deliver finished files directly to guests and ensure everyone gets their shots.
• Turnaround: within 48 hours of the event.

Typical flow
1. Arrive 30 minutes early, run a test shot, and confirm the backdrop/lighting.
2. Photograph individual or small-group portraits until all guests are covered.
3. Capture the “email & booker” proof image.
4. Pack gear and reset the studio.
5. Transfer images, apply the agreed-upon edits, and send download links to guests.

Pay can reach $2,500 per event depending on scale and feedback. If you’re reliable, friendly, and can keep portraits consistent under changing studio setups, I’d love to see your portfolio and hear how soon you’re available.

Photographers will need to cover their own travel expenses, so I’m looking for photographers based in the Brooklyn-Manhattan area.
