Gevelopers LLC is hiring an EU GDPR Representative (EU Based only) to act as our official legal point of contact within the European Union, fulfilling our obligations under Article 27 of the EU GDPR. As a non-EU entity processing the personal data of European residents, we require a reliable compliance professional to establish our tangible presence in the region. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our global operations, European data subjects, and local supervisory authorities.
Key Responsibilities
Supervisory Authority Liaison: Act as the direct and primary point of contact for various European Data Protection Authorities (DPAs) regarding our operations.
Data Subject Inquiries: Serve as the accessible local contact for EU citizens seeking to exercise their privacy rights, safely receiving and transferring requests back to our central team.
RoPA Maintenance: Maintain, update, and securely store the official Record of Processing Activities (RoPA) for our EU-directed operations, ensuring it is ready for immediate inspection by supervisory authorities.
Cooperation & Facilitation: Cooperate actively with local DPAs during any regulatory actions or inquiries, operating strictly under a formal written mandate from our company.
Internal Collaboration: Work closely with our internal Data Protection Officer (DPO) to ensure seamless data governance; this representative role executes liaison duties and complements our DPO's compliance oversight.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must be physically established and currently residing within a European Union Member State.
Comprehensive understanding of the European General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) framework.
Experience handling confidential legal information, maintaining compliance records, or working in a regulatory liaison capacity.
Professional fluency in English; fluency in at least one other major EU language (e.g., German, French, or Spanish) is highly preferred to facilitate communication with local citizens and regional authorities.
Proven ability to act objectively, securely, and responsively when dealing with regulatory timelines.
