# Freelancer Project Brief: ESP32 Electronic Prototype Development

## 1. Project Objective

I have an existing electronic circuit schematic for an ESP32-based prototype. I need an electronics freelancer to understand the schematic, recreate it in EDA software, verify the circuit connections, and develop a working physical prototype.

The uploaded schematic image will be provided as the reference design.

## 2. Main Components

The prototype appears to contain the following components:

1. **ESP32 development board** — main microcontroller for processing and controlling connected peripherals.
2. **Three 4-pin connectors (U9, U10 and U11)** — external connection interfaces. Their exact purposes and pin assignments must be verified against the original design.
3. **One 4-pin connector (U12)** — an additional external interface connected to ESP32 GPIO pins.
4. **3.5 mm audio jack (U3)** — an audio or signal input/output interface; its intended function needs confirmation.
5. **Two 10 kΩ resistors (R1 and R2)** — part of the signal-conditioning circuit.
6. **One 10 kΩ resistor (R3)** — part of the associated input or bias circuit.
7. **33 µF, 16 V capacitor (U2)** — connected within the signal-conditioning section; polarity and exact connection must be verified.
8. **5 V power supply and GND connections** — provide power and a common ground reference.

## 3. Required Work

### Phase 1 — Schematic recreation and verification
- Recreate the supplied circuit in professional EDA software, preferably KiCad.
- Identify the exact ESP32 board/module and confirm its pin numbering.
- Trace every wire and connection from the supplied image.
- Verify the resistor, capacitor, connector and power-supply connections.
- Identify any missing information, possible wiring errors or electrical risks before fabrication.
- Prepare a clean, readable schematic with component references and values.

### Phase 2 — Prototype development
- Assemble the circuit using suitable prototype hardware or a PCB, depending on the agreed design.
- Provide the required connectors and audio jack.
- Ensure the 5 V supply and ESP32 power connections are safe and correctly implemented.
- Check for shorts, incorrect polarity and incompatible signal voltages before powering the board.

### Phase 3 — Testing
- Verify that the ESP32 powers up correctly.
- Test continuity and all connector pin assignments.
- Test the audio jack and associated signal-conditioning circuit once their intended function is confirmed.
- Demonstrate that all specified interfaces work as expected.
- Provide test results and document any modifications made to the original schematic.

## 4. Expected Deliverables

The freelancer must provide:

1. Editable EDA project files.
2. Final verified schematic in PDF format.
3. BOM (Bill of Materials) with component values and part numbers.
4. Connector pinout and wiring documentation.
5. PCB design files and Gerber/drill files, if a PCB is included in the agreed scope.
6. Working physical prototype.
7. Firmware or test code, if required for demonstration.
8. Photographs or a short video demonstrating the prototype.
9. Final testing report and assembly instructions.

## 5. Important Requirements

- Do not change the original circuit without discussing the changes first.
- Confirm all unclear connections before ordering components or fabricating a PCB.
- Use components that are readily available in India wherever practical.
- Keep the design easy to maintain, troubleshoot and reproduce.
- Inform me of any additional components, costs or technical issues before proceeding.

## 6. Information to Confirm Before Starting

The freelancer should clarify:
- The intended function of the overall prototype.
- The exact purpose of each 4-pin connector.
- Whether the audio jack is for audio input, output or another signal.
- Whether the existing schematic is the complete circuit or only one section.
- Whether the requirement is for a schematic recreation only, a PCB, or a fully working prototype.

**Acceptance criteria:** The project is complete when the EDA files are delivered, the circuit has been verified, and the agreed prototype functions correctly in a demonstrated test.

Please review the supplied schematic first and provide your technical assessment, proposed implementation, estimated cost and delivery timeline before beginning fabrication.
