I’m putting together a new product prototype that pairs a PAA5100JE optical-flow breakout board with an ESP32. The goal is to have the ESP32 handle Wi-Fi connectivity, pull motion data from the PAA5100JE, and give me software control of several GPIOs so I can drive LEDs and switch power to an additional sensor on command.
Here’s what I need from you:
• An advised pin map and any level-shifting guidance for a clean, noise-free hardware hookup.
• Well-structured firmware (PlatformIO or Arduino-IDE friendly) that:
– Initializes the PAA5100JE and streams its measurements at a steady rate.
– Publishes those readings over Wi-Fi—MQTT, HTTP, or WebSocket is fine, as long as it’s fast to implement and stable.
– Exposes simple commands or a REST endpoint to toggle GPIOs for the LEDs and sensor power rail.
• Clear documentation so I can reproduce the build, flash the board, and extend the code later.
