I’m looking for a developer who can dive straight into an Android gacha game that already has a live Erlang backend and a Cocos2dx/Lua client. You’ll be taking over from the previous programmer and working with me every day, so consistent communication and proven experience with this exact stack are essential.

Current priorities
Right now I need working unit skills, smooth animations, reliable new-skin imports, and solid bug fixing on both front and backend. The unit-skill logic and lingering bugs are the areas that need the most love, so you must feel comfortable tracking down empty tables, desyncs, and rule misfires until they are gone.

Automated skin importer overhaul
The importer must:
• Enhance import accuracy so every texture and mesh lands where it belongs
• Improve animation/effect wiring so VFX play correctly first time
• Fix any remaining sync issues between server data and client display

Daily workflow
– Extend and maintain the existing Erlang skin panel features on the server
– Refactor and stabilise the Lua side, especially animation hooks
– Write and run your own tests; I do a final check, but I expect what you hand over to already work
– Push small, reviewable commits each day so we stay aligned

Tools in play: Erlang/OTP, Cocos2dx, Lua, Git, Android Studio. If those aren’t second nature, this project isn’t a match.

Panel has imported skins from other unity game that fit our game, but some stuff need adjustment to work properly, so panel building knowledge is essential also.

This is a long-term, low-overhead collaboration rather than a one-off job, so keep that in mind when you propose your rate. If you have shipped something similar and you’re ready to start immediately, let’s talk.
