Epson Dot Matrix Repair Needed

My Epson dot-matrix unit has suddenly stopped behaving as it should and I need a technician who knows this older technology inside out. I’m not yet sure whether the fault is mechanical, electronic, or driver-related, so the first step will be a thorough diagnosis. Once you have isolated the problem, I’ll count on you to source or specify any parts, reinstall or update firmware or drivers if required, calibrate the print head, and confirm the printer is producing clean, evenly spaced output again.
You should already be comfortable with Epson control codes, ribbon and platen adjustments, and the quirks of dot-matrix connectivity to modern PCs. If you can guide me through remote tests, great; otherwise tell me what you need for an on-site visit.
Deliverables:
• A concise diagnostic report outlining the root cause.
• A list of parts or software applied (with versions).
• Confirmation print demonstrating that the issue is fully resolved.
Please let me know your estimated timeline and any questions you have about the current symptoms or setup.
