Full-Stack Developer — E-Commerce & Booking Platform (Next.js / Supabase / Vercel)
Short Description
We are looking for an experienced full-stack developer to make targeted improvements to an existing e-commerce and appointment-booking platform.
The website is already designed and built. We are not looking for a full rebuild. We need someone who can understand our existing codebase, improve the booking logic, and implement several scheduling and provider-management features.

Main Project Requirements
The biggest priority is improving our booking and scheduling system.
Provider structure: We need service providers separated into two categories: Founders / Leading Techs and Employees under supervision. Our existing rotation system should apply to founders/leading technicians, but we need the ability to turn that rotation on or off depending on staffing.
When rotation is disabled, individual providers should simply operate from their own stations/calendars rather than being forced through a Prep → Application → Finishing workflow.
Employee scheduling: Employees need individual working-day availability. For example, the business may designate certain dates as employee working days, but an individual employee may only work Saturdays within those dates. Admins must be able to easily block or activate each employee’s dates.
Employees performing independent services should not require the multi-provider rotation system.
Dynamic appointment availability: We do not want the system displaying an entire 10 AM–8 PM day as available when a provider has no appointments.
Instead, availability should expand dynamically as appointments are booked.
Example:
Provider starts at 10 AM → show the first appropriate booking window.
Once appointments begin filling, additional nearby availability can open.
If there is already an appointment at 10 AM and another at 2 PM, the system should prioritize filling the gap between those appointments before displaying much later times such as 4 PM or 6 PM.
The goal is to cluster appointments and eliminate unnecessary gaps in employee schedules.
Booking-gap rules: New appointments should generally remain within approximately 3–4 hours of the provider’s existing appointment block, rather than allowing one appointment in the morning and another at the end of the day.
Rotation logic: Our reconstruction services use a multi-stage workflow when the full team is active. The system needs to support enabling/disabling this workflow without breaking normal individual bookings.
We also need the existing scheduling logic reviewed so that the system correctly handles provider availability, service duration, station capacity, overlapping appointments, and combinations of services.
Who We’re Looking For
We specifically want someone who has previously worked with complex appointment-booking or scheduling systems, not only basic websites.
Ideal experience includes:
Next.js / React, Supabase, PostgreSQL/database logic, Vercel, API/backend development, calendar and availability algorithms, role-based/provider permissions, e-commerce systems, and debugging existing production applications.
Experience building systems for salons, healthcare, spas, service businesses, marketplaces, reservations, or other multi-provider scheduling platforms would be a major plus.
Important
This is an existing production website. We need someone comfortable entering an existing codebase, understanding the current architecture, and making precise changes without unnecessarily rebuilding the platform.
