I have a dialogue-style article that walks readers through trauma, medical assistance in dying, and the layers of grief that follow. I now want to translate that script into a fully realised 2-D animation echoing the visual-storytelling approach Hannah Grace used in “Overcomer.” The piece must feel intimate and character-driven, favouring subtle visual metaphors that allow viewers to sit with the material rather than be told what to feel.

The core aim is emotional impact. By the end, the audience should come away with deep empathy, a clearer understanding of the subject matter, and a sense of compassionate learning. I’m therefore looking for someone comfortable handling mature psychological themes and able to weave them into engaging on-screen moments without sensationalising the content. Tone management is crucial: every design choice—palette, pacing, framing—needs to respect the gravity of the topic while still offering space for hope.

You are free to work in whatever 2-D pipeline suits you (Toon Boom, TVPaint, Adobe Animate, After Effects compositing, etc.) as long as the final result carries the hand-crafted, narrative flow seen in “Overcomer.”
