I own an existing Shopify store that has had considerable work and investment put into it but has not yet achieved meaningful sales.
I’m looking for an experienced e-commerce growth partner who wants to help figure out why — and build it into a profitable business with me.
I’m not looking for someone simply to complete Shopify tasks or collect a monthly management fee. I want someone who can look critically at the entire business — including the products, positioning, store, pricing, customer acquisition strategy and advertising — determine what needs to change, and take responsibility for helping turn it into a commercially viable store.
What I’m looking for
Someone who can evaluate and take ownership of areas such as:
* Product selection and product-market potential
* Shopify store optimization and conversion
* Pricing, offers and merchandising
* Paid advertising strategy and management
* Organic/social opportunities where appropriate
* Testing products, creatives, audiences and offers
* Analyzing results and deciding what to change
* Scaling what actually works
I’m not looking for someone who simply runs ads, installs apps, redesigns pages or follows a predetermined list of Shopify tasks.
I’m looking for someone who thinks like an e-commerce operator and business partner.
Compensation
I am specifically interested in an incentive-based relationship:
A modest monthly base + a meaningful percentage of net profit.
The exact structure is negotiable with the right person.
The objective is simple: when the store becomes profitable, we both benefit.
Advertising spend would be funded by me, but budgets and significant increases in spending must be agreed upon in advance.
Who I’d like to hear from
Please tell me:
1. Which Shopify/e-commerce stores have you personally helped grow?
2. What specifically were you responsible for?
3. What were the approximate results before and after your involvement?
4. Can those results be independently verified or can you provide references?
5. If you inherited a store that had already had significant work put into it but was producing little or no revenue, what would you examine before spending more money on advertising?
6. Are you comfortable working for a modest base with the majority of your upside coming from the store’s profitability?
7. What base + profit-share structure would you propose?
Please don’t send a generic agency proposal.
I’m looking for one person — or a very small team — with the judgment, experience and entrepreneurial mindset to determine what this store needs and help turn it into a profitable business.
If we work well together and produce results, I’m interested in a long-term relationship.
