I’m developing a hardware product that blends moving mechanical parts with custom electronics and need a versatile engineer to carry the concept from rough sketches to a small-batch-ready prototype.

You will start by reviewing my idea, asking clarifying questions, then turning the requirements into detailed mechanical drawings and electronic schematics. From there, I’ll rely on you to choose appropriate components, model the assemblies, lay out the boards, and iterate until everything fits, functions, and can be manufactured without surprises.

Deliverables
• Native CAD files (STEP or similar) and clear assembly drawings
• Complete electronic design package with schematics, layout, and Gerber files
• Consolidated bill of materials with readily available parts
• Brief test-report or video confirming the prototype meets the agreed operating conditions

Acceptance criteria
• All files open cleanly in standard tools and reflect the latest revision history
• Parts on the BOM are in stock from at least two distributors
• Prototype operates reliably across the specified voltage, load, and temperature ranges

If you have past work where you owned both the mechanical layout and the electronic architecture, please share it along with your typical turnaround time. I’m ready to move quickly and look forward to collaborating with someone who can guide the whole electromechanical design process end-to-end.
