We’re looking for a talented freelance editor and writer to join us for an 8-article project. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys exploring interesting topics and turning research into engaging, reader-friendly stories.

The Project

The selected freelancer will write and self-edit 8 original articles of approximately 800 words each based on topics that align with Merged Insight.

Assignments may cover subjects such as:

- Culture and society
- Technology and AI
- Psychology and human behavior
- Digital culture and social media
- Film, entertainment, and media
- Lifestyle and modern trends
- Business and the changing digital world
- Thought-provoking opinion and analysis

Article topics and direction will be provided or approved by Merged Insight before writing begins.

Responsibilities

The freelancer will be responsible for researching, writing, editing, and proofreading each article before submission.

Articles should have a strong headline and introduction, clear structure, credible research where appropriate, natural transitions, and a compelling conclusion. Writing should feel polished and insightful while remaining accessible to a general audience.

Content must be original and written specifically for Merged Insight. We are looking for writers who can bring genuine perspective and editorial judgment to their work rather than submitting generic or heavily AI-generated content.

What We're Looking For

The ideal freelancer has experience with digital publishing, journalism, blogging, editorial writing, or long-form online content.

Strong candidates should demonstrate:

- Excellent English writing and editing skills
- Strong research abilities
- Ability to write engaging 800-word articles
- Understanding of online audiences and digital publishing
- Ability to follow editorial direction
- Strong attention to grammar, structure, accuracy, and readability
- Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines
- A writing style that combines information with insight

Familiarity with SEO writing is a plus.

Compensation

$400 fixed price for 8 completed articles.

Each article will be approximately 800 words, for a total project length of roughly 6,400 words. This works out to $50 per completed article.

Additional assignments may be available for freelancers who consistently deliver strong work and are a good fit for the Merged Insight editorial style.
