Ed.D Application Narrative Development

A single, polished document of no more than 1,500 words is needed for my Ed.D application. The narrative must read in a professional yet clear voice and seamlessly respond to the program’s two prompts. First, it should articulate my motivation for doctoral study, weaving in the leadership roles I have held and showing how those experiences have guided me toward advanced inquiry and practice. Second, it must analyze a significant curricular gap I have confronted in my workplace—explaining why this gap hinders learning, how it affects long-term student outcomes, and why addressing it matters to me as an aspiring scholar-practitioner.

Please note: As I am not directly in the field of education, freelancers are encouraged to work with broad examples or challenges I've observed within my industry that align with curricular or process-related improvements for learning outcomes.

Please structure the piece so both topics flow naturally, avoiding an obvious “question one / question two” split while still satisfying admissions reviewers who will look for complete answers. Incorporate vivid but concise examples of my leadership in curriculum design or implementation to ground the discussion in real practice. The final submission should arrive as an editable Word or Google Doc, proofread, and ready to paste into the online application portal.
