E-commerce Virtual Assistant & Automation Expert

We are a U.S.-based e-commerce company looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Virtual Assistant who can also help automate repetitive parts of the business.

This is a long-term role for someone who can handle day-to-day e-commerce and administrative work, assist with customer phone calls, and help us build better systems that reduce manual work.

Responsibilities
Assist with customer phone calls
Create and update product listings
Work with product titles, descriptions, specifications, and product data
Organize and clean spreadsheets
Perform online research
Assist with e-commerce and website administrative tasks
Use ChatGPT and other AI tools to improve productivity
Organize product images and files
Follow detailed written procedures accurately
Identify repetitive tasks that can be improved or automated
Build, test, and document automations
Monitor automations and troubleshoot issues
Suggest better and faster ways to complete recurring work

Experience with BigCommerce, Shopify, Amazon, eBay, Zapier, Make, n8n, APIs, Google Apps Script, Python, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar tools is a plus.

Automotive knowledge is not required. Training will be provided.

Work Hours — Required

You must be available to work during New York / U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

This is required because the role includes customer phone support and collaboration during normal U.S. business hours.

Automation Projects & Bonus

In addition to normal VA responsibilities, you will be assigned specific automation projects.

Each project will include:

A clearly defined goal
A target completion date
Testing requirements
Documentation requirements
A reliability period

Automation bonuses are separate from regular compensation.

To qualify for the full bonus, an automation must:

Meet the agreed requirements
Work correctly in real-world use
Be properly tested
Be clearly documented
Continue working reliably for at least 30 days
Faster Completion Can Earn a Higher Bonus

Each automation project will have a target completion date.

Projects completed earlier may qualify for a higher bonus, provided they still work correctly and successfully complete the 30-day reliability period.

Compensation

We are evaluating candidates at different experience levels.
