I’m leading a senior-year project where my student team will build and test an induction-motor drive (motor, VFD, sensors, protection, filters, the works). What we’re missing is seasoned electrical-engineering insight during the DESIGN phase.

Here’s what I’d like from you:
• Review and refine our single-line and wiring diagrams, ensuring safe operation on a 3-phase, 480 V supply.
• Help size and specify the motor, VFD, fuses/MCB, contactors, braking resistor, EMI/RFI filters, current/voltage sensors, and any surge- or overload-protection devices.
• Validate thermal calculations, harmonic considerations and grounding/shielding practices.
• Provide a concise Bill of Materials with part numbers and vendor suggestions, flagging long-lead or cost-critical items.
• Answer ad-hoc technical questions on power electronics or drive control decisions as they arise.

Deliverables will be spread over milestones (concept review, schematic/BOM sign-off, final check) so that only a fraction of the overall prototype budget—roughly $300-$500—goes toward your advisory time.
