# Character / Mascot Designer for Children's Brand

### Project Description

We are developing a new children's brand focused on learning through play and are looking for a highly creative character designer to develop an **original, lovable, and memorable mascot** that can become the face of our brand.

Our ambition is to create an iconic character with the appeal and recognition of characters like Peppa Pig, Bluey, or other globally loved children's characters — while having a completely unique visual identity.

### What We're Looking For

- **Highly original character:** Not a variation of existing cartoon characters or commonly used mascots.
- **Loved by young children:** Cute, expressive, playful, approachable, and instantly appealing to children aged 3–6.
- **Gender-neutral appeal:** A character that connects equally well with boys and girls.
- **Strong personality:** Curious, adventurous, friendly, slightly mischievous, and full of charm.
- **Versatile design:** Can appear across different stories, activities, emotions, environments, and situations.
- **Simple yet iconic:** Easy to recognize, even as a silhouette or small illustration.
- **Scalable:** Suitable for packaging, storybooks, educational products, animations, merchandise, and potentially physical toys.

We are open to **imaginary creatures, unusual animals, or entirely new character concepts** rather than conventional human mascots.

### Scope of Work

1. Develop 3–5 distinct initial character concepts.
2. Refine the selected concept based on feedback.
3. Create front, side, and back views of the final character.
4. Develop a character expression sheet (happy, excited, curious, sad, surprised, confident, etc.).
5. Illustrate the character in 3–5 different poses or situations.
6. Deliver editable source files (Adobe Illustrator or equivalent), along with high-resolution PNG and vector files.

### Ideal Freelancer

We are specifically looking for someone with experience in **children's character design, cartoons, animation, or children's publishing**, rather than general graphic design or logo design.

Experience creating original IP characters is highly desirable.
