I need a credentialed pension actuary to take our single-employer corporate defined benefit plan through its full 2024 valuation cycle and handle every corresponding government filing. The project covers the complete actuarial valuation, certification of funding requirements, and preparation/signature of all documents normally sent to the IRS, DOL, and PBGC.
The plan is small-to-mid sized (under 300 participants), our census is already cleaned in Excel, and prior year valuation files are available in ProVal format. You will review the current assumption set with me, run the valuation, produce the formal report, and then generate each statutory schedule and form that must accompany the Form 5500 as well as the PBGC premium filing. I also expect a brief management-level summary highlighting funding status and required contributions for the upcoming fiscal year.
Deliverables
• Actuarial valuation report (PDF + Excel exhibits)
• Signed funding certification / Schedule SB, Form 5500 package, PBGC premium filing, and any related attachments in electronic filing format
• One-page executive summary of results and assumptions
• 30-minute walkthrough call to answer questions from finance and auditors
Acceptance criteria: documents must meet ERISA, IRS, DOL, and PBGC standards, be ready for e-filing no later than 30 days after census delivery, and include your signature/EA number where required.
Experience with ProVal (or ability to import ProVal data), EA enrollment, and recent single-employer DB funding rules is essential. Let me know your availability and any similar plans you have signed off on in the last two years.
