I am assembling a professional-development book that blends full-length, research-driven articles with concise executive summaries, all aimed at sharpening technical skills in Data Science. The finished volume should help working professionals go from concept to hands-on application quickly, so every piece must balance depth with clarity.
Scope
For each selected data-science topic—think machine learning, predictive analytics, big-data architecture, Python/R workflows, visualization, and similar—you will craft:
• A standalone article (roughly 1,500–2,000 words) that explores theory, practical techniques, real-world use cases, and tool recommendations.
• A one-page summary that distills the article into key takeaways, formulas or code snippets, and immediate action steps.
Writing Guidelines
• Tone: engaging but authoritative, suitable for mid-career analysts and decision-makers.
• Terminology: explain jargon on first use; emphasise actionable insights over abstract discussion.
• Originality: content must be plagiarism-free, with reputable sources cited in APA or IEEE style.
• Readability: short paragraphs, helpful sub-headings, and where useful, illustrative tables or diagrams.
Deliverables
1. A compiled manuscript in DOCX (articles followed by their summaries).
2. Individual article+summary pairs in separate folders for easy editing.
3. A reference list for all sources, plus alt-text for any figures.
4. One revision cycle after initial feedback.
Although this edition concentrates on Data Science, I may expand later into adjacent areas such as Information Technology or Engineering, so a flexible writing approach is appreciated. If you have a solid grasp of data-science concepts and can translate them into clear, actionable prose, I’m eager to see your proposal and a brief sample of previous technical writing.
