I’m building a cross-platform desktop application that runs natively on both Windows and macOS for my dance school. The core purpose is to streamline our financial and class-management workflow while giving each user only the controls they actually need.
Here’s what the finished app must do for us:
• Fee management: record every student’s monthly tuition, log other payments, and trigger automated reminders when anything is overdue.
• Attendance tracking: mark daily class presence in a couple of clicks and let me pull quick reports on absences.
• Class scheduling: create weekly timetables, assign instructors, and notify students of any changes.
• Role-based access: separate dashboards for Admin, Instructor, and Student so permissions stay clear and secure.
I’ll need a clean installer for both operating systems plus a brief user guide that shows staff how to add students, schedule classes, and run the fee reminder cycle.
If this sounds within your wheelhouse, tell me which framework or tech stack you’d use and how you’d handle the cross-platform build—then we can lock in milestones for a first prototype and final release.
