Dali Artwork Essay -- 2

I need an in-depth essay on Salvador Dali's "The Geopoliticus Child Watching the Birth of the New Man."

Requirements:

You will use a Minimum of SIX (6) acceptable sources for this research (see directions for acceptable sources).
Use proper scholarly art terminology in describing the subject. You must use Parenthetical Citations throughout each and every paragraph while discussing the subject. Follow all rules and directions for formatting these Research Reviews.

HOW DO YOU WRITE ABOUT ONE SINGLE OBJECT OF ART?

1. Research and discuss the Artist's background for 1-2 paragraphs

2. Research the subject of the Art (who is in the painting, what is the artwork about, what is the story depicted in the artwork) for 1-2 paragraphs

3. Research and explain the medium used to create the art (painting, photography, sculpture, drawing, lithograph, woodblock, engraving, etc.) for 1-2 paragraphs

4, Research and discuss the materials used to create the art (oil, watercolour, pen and ink, chalk, charcoal, granite, wood, ivory, marble, platinum or silver print, etc.) for 1-2 paragraphs

5. Research and discuss the possible influence on the artist at the time the art was created (War, riots, poverty, family struggles, etc.) for 1-2 paragraphs

6. Research and discuss the Provenance (the life and story) of the artwork itself (Who commissioned it, who was it sold to, what country did it reside in, was it ever stolen, who donated it to the museum, did the museum buy it, etc.) for 1-2 paragraphs

WORKS CITED PAGE- USE PROPER FORMATTING OF MLA FOR ALL SOURCES. ALL SOURCES MUST BE IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER. DO NOT SIMPLY GIVE A WEBADDRESS.


VERY IMPORTANT! You Must Staple your ticket, receipt, or sticker from the Museum onto the BACK of the LAST PAGE of the Review. Failure to do so will result in a grade of zero. Paper clips of any kind are Not acceptable. Do Not tape the ticket to the Review. There will be no exceptions.


THIS IS THE FORMAT FOR YOUR MUSEUM RESEARCH REVIEW:

The Review must be No Shorter than FOUR-Full-Pages as discussed AND no shorter than 1400 words. (This Minimum word count does NOT include the Works Cited Page).
Use only Times New Roman 12-point font; no others will be accepted.
You must use MLA Style for your parenthetical citations and Works Cited Section. Refer to your ENC textbook, an MLA Handbook, or visit the Writing Center at the HCC Library.
You must use a Minimum of SIX (6) acceptable approved sources (SEE LIST BELOW). You must include Parenthetical Citations extensively throughout the entire paper in each and every paragraph. Include a works cited section at the end. One citation at the end of a paragraph or page is Not enough, use them throughout.
Use only Black ink; no others will be accepted.
It Must be typed with No hand-writing found on it what-so-ever. That includes page numbers.
It Must be Double-spaced, not space and a half. Do Not double-double space between paragraphs.
Use white paper only; no recycled green, etc.
Only one side of each page may be printed on.
Turn in a clean-clear copy only; smeared/smudged/streaked/torn copies will not be accepted-do not ask.
The paper Must be stapled together in the upper left corner. Paper clips of any kind will not be accepted.
Do Not use a cover page. Do Not use foot notes.
PLEASE NOTE: Colloquialisms, slang, vulgar phrases, and contractions are not considered formal writing. Do not use them under any circumstance.
Italicize any ancient, foreign or unusual words.
First, type in the upper LEFT corner of the first page: your name on the first line, HUM 1020 MW 11:00 on the second line, and ‘Museum Research Review’ on the third. (Use single space between these lines)
Do Not use a header or a page number on the first page.
Include a “Title” centered on the first page of the paper below the information in number 15.
On all subsequent pages your last name should appear in the upper left corner and the page number should appear in the upper right corner.
Do not paginate at the bottom of the paper.
