Daily Industrial Video Captioning.

I publish a steady stream of short workshop and industrial tutorial clips and need an extra pair of eyes for the captioning stage. Each workday you will sit with about an hour’s worth of footage, watch each segment in full, and write concise captions that:

• call out every tool by name and explain how it is being used
• note any safety guideline demonstrated or violated
• lay out each step of the process so a viewer could replicate it without sound

Hand positions and tool handling are critical, so your wording has to be exact—no guesswork or skipped motions. I usually work inside simple web-based caption editors (Veed, YouTube Studio, or similar), but if you prefer something like ELAN or the VIA annotator, that’s fine as long as the final files arrive as time-stamped SRT or VTT.

Turnaround is same-day: I send the clips, you return the caption file before you clock off. Accuracy and consistency are more important than speed, yet I still expect a comfortable pace that fits into the agreed one-hour block inside a wider two- to three-hour daily window.

Deliverable acceptance:
• Captions align within ±0.2 s of spoken or visible action
• All three focus elements—tool names & usage, safety notes, step-by-step flow—are present in every clip
• File passes YouTube auto-sync check with zero flagged errors
