I have an existing set of Excel sheets that hold all of my inventory information, and I need them kept fully up-to-date every single day. You will receive the raw figures for new stock arriving, items sold, and any supplier price changes; your job is to enter those numbers promptly so that each item shows the correct quantity on hand and its current cost and sell price.
Because everything lives in Excel, you should already be comfortable working with multiple linked worksheets, formulas, and simple error-checking tools such as data validation, conditional formatting, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and pivot tables. I’m looking for accuracy first, but speed matters too—I make purchasing decisions off these sheets each morning.
Deliverables
• Updated workbook returned (or saved to our shared drive) by 9 a.m. my time every day
• Zero formula breakage and no #REF! or #VALUE! errors
• A quick note highlighting any negative stock levels or sudden price jumps you spot
If that routine suits you and you can start right away, let me know your approach to catching entry errors before they happen.
