We have an hour-long podcast episode on YouTube (source link below). We want one vertical clip from it that would stop someone scrolling on TikTok.
**What you deliver**
- One MP4, H.264, vertical 9:16, 1080x1920
- Between 30 and 75 seconds
- Burned-in captions: accurate, styled for mobile, never covering a face
- The speaker's face stays in frame and is not awkwardly cropped. When two people are talking, reframe or use a split layout
- Clean, normalized audio. No music bed unless it genuinely helps
- No watermarks, no third-party logos, no stock footage padding
- Alongside the file, one line telling us the timestamp in the source the clip came from
**Where you have freedom**
You pick the moment. That is the actual job, and it is why we are hiring an editor rather than running a tool. Look for something with a strong hook in the first two seconds, a self-contained idea, an emotional or surprising beat, and an ending that lands instead of trailing off. Cuts, punch-ins, zooms, light b-roll and text emphasis are all welcome if they serve the clip.
**How we judge it**
Would a stranger with no context keep watching past the second mark, and does the clip stand on its own without having heard the episode? Then: format correct, captions accurate, nothing important cropped out.
Several editors are each cutting one clip from this same episode independently, so don't worry about coordinating or covering the whole episode. Just find the best 30-75 seconds you can and make it good.
