Customized News Portal Development

I need a full-stack developer to craft a custom-built news portal that mirrors the structure and ease of use of Mongabay Brasil while adding dedicated spaces for News, Legislation, and Public Competitions. The stack is already defined: React on the front end and a Node.js back end.

From the editor’s side everything must feel like a lightweight CMS—upload an article, assign it to the right section, hit publish, and see it go live instantly. Each new publication should trigger an automatic email to every subscriber on the list without any extra clicks from the editor. Theme styling should follow modern newsroom aesthetics but remain fully customizable, so future brand tweaks are painless.

Key deliverables
• Responsive React front end with three clearly separated content sections
• Node.js (Express or similar) API, wired to a database you recommend for articles, users, and subscriptions
• Simple, secure admin dashboard that lets an editor create, edit, schedule, and archive posts
• Automated email alert system (SendGrid, Nodemailer or an equivalent you are comfortable with) fired on every new post
• Deployment and basic documentation for hand-off so I can manage hosting, backups, and minor tweaks myself
