I need an Android application that authenticates against a Pepperstone cTrader account through the official cTrader Open API using the Implicit Grant flow. After sign-in, the user must be able to:
• securely fetch and display current account balances, open positions, and full account history
• place, modify, and close trades from both demo and live accounts
Push notifications are not required, so everything should happen in-app. Please follow cTrader’s recommended OAuth security practices, store tokens safely, and make sure the same codebase can be switched between demo and live environments with a simple build flag or configuration file.
Deliverables must include:
• a clean Android Studio project (Kotlin or Java) that compiles without external tweaks
• documented source code covering authentication, REST calls, and WebSocket streaming where needed for trade execution feedback
• a short README explaining how to register the app in cTrader, set client ID/redirect URI, and switch between environments
• an installable APK for quick testing
I’ll consider the job complete once I can log in to both a demo and a live Pepperstone account, see correct balances/history on screen, and successfully open and close a trade from the device.
