The project centers on building a complete mobile game that runs smoothly on both iOS and Android. I already have a broad concept and artwork references; what I need now is an experienced developer who can turn the idea into a fully playable product, shepherding it from prototype through launch on the App Store and Google Play.
Engine & tech stack
A single code-base approach such as Unity, Godot, or Unreal Blueprint scripting keeps maintenance light and updates simultaneous for both platforms. Alongside the core engine, you’ll integrate device-specific SDKs for Game Center / Google Play Games, basic analytics, and optional in-app purchase hooks so future monetisation is straightforward.
Gameplay scope
The exact genre is still open, which gives us room to shape mechanics together during the design sprint. What is fixed is the need for responsive touch controls, lightweight assets that perform well on mid-range phones, and a polished user interface.
Key deliverables
• Playable prototype demonstrating core loop on iOS & Android test builds
• Alpha build with placeholder art, basic UI, and analytics wired in
• Beta build featuring final art, sound, and platform services (leaderboards, achievements)
• Release candidate submitted to TestFlight and Google’s internal testing track, plus store-ready screenshots
• Post-launch support window for hotfixes and crash-log triage
Acceptance criteria
– Frame rate holds 60 fps on devices comparable to iPhone 11 and Galaxy S10
– No critical or high-priority bugs in the release candidate
– Store submissions pass Apple and Google review without rejections tied to the app binary
Version control will run through Git or PlasticSCM, and I’ll provide prompt feedback on each sprint. Let me know which engine you prefer and share links to at least one live game you have shipped on both platforms so I can gauge code quality and optimisation skills.
