Project Description
We are looking for an experienced SEO Link Building and Outreach Specialist to help increase the online visibility, organic traffic, and brand awareness of Cricstars, a growing global cricket platform.
Our goal is to build high-quality, relevant backlinks through genuine outreach, editorial placements, and cricket-related content promotion.
We are interested in long-term SEO growth, not bulk backlinks or short-term ranking manipulation.
Key Requirements
Acquire high-quality, contextual backlinks from reputable cricket websites, sports blogs, news publications, and relevant online magazines.
Identify opportunities on local cricket club, academy, association, community, and event websites.
Secure relevant placements on established, high-traffic websites where cricket-related content fits naturally.
Promote our cricket articles, match analysis, coaching resources, statistics, tools, and community features.
Build genuine relationships with bloggers, journalists, website owners, and cricket publishers.
Identify relevant engagement opportunities on Reddit, Quora, and established cricket or sports forums without spamming.
Prioritise websites with genuine organic traffic, editorial standards, and relevant audiences.
Focus on cricket audiences in India, Australia, New Zealand, England, and other cricket-playing countries.
Backlink Quality Expectations
We expect:
Genuine, manually acquired editorial backlinks.
Contextual do-follow links wherever naturally achievable.
Relevant websites with authentic traffic and credibility.
Natural anchor text and links to appropriate Cricstars pages.
Transparent outreach methods and verifiable placements.
Strictly prohibited: PBNs, link farms, automated backlinks, spam comments, irrelevant directories, mass link exchanges, fake traffic, or manipulative link-building practices.
Quality and relevance are more important than backlink quantity.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
The selected freelancer will work with us for an initial 3-month trial period, during which performance and backlink quality will be monitored.
We require:
A weekly update covering outreach progress, successful placements, and challenges.
A live Google Sheet tracking all acquired backlinks.
Each backlink report must include the source URL, target URL, anchor text, website niche, DR/DA or equivalent authority metric, estimated organic traffic, link attribute, and placement status.
Clear communication and realistic expectations.
Evidence of genuine link-building activity and measurable progress.
At the end of the trial, we will evaluate backlink quality, relevant referral traffic, organic search visibility, reliability, and overall results before deciding on a long-term collaboration.
Who We're Looking For
Proven experience in white-hat SEO and manual link building.
Previous experience with cricket, sports, or news websites is highly desirable.
Strong outreach and publisher relationship-building skills.
Familiarity with Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz, or similar SEO tools.
Ability to identify valuable opportunities without relying on paid link networks.
Reliable communication and transparent reporting.
