Consumer Credit Report Review & Client File Specialist

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented professional to assist with reviewing consumer credit reports and managing client files.

This position requires someone who understands how to thoroughly review information across all three major consumer reporting agencies, recognize inconsistencies or potentially inaccurate information, maintain detailed client records, and provide organized findings to our team.

Responsibilities:

Review consumer reports from all three major reporting agencies
Compare account information for accuracy and consistency
Identify information that may require additional documentation or client clarification
Review updated reports and accurately document changes
Maintain detailed notes for each client file
Update client information within our management software
Track account statuses and responses
Organize supporting documentation
Follow established internal workflows and quality-control procedures
Provide clear updates to our internal team
Handle sensitive client information professionally and confidentially
We are looking for someone who is analytical, not someone who simply processes files as quickly as possible. Each client file should be individually reviewed and accurately documented.

Ideal Candidate
Previous experience reviewing consumer credit reports is strongly preferred. You should understand credit-report terminology, account statuses, payment histories, collections, charge-offs, inquiries, and the differences between information reported across the three major reporting agencies.

Experience with consumer-credit software or client management systems is a plus.

Accuracy is extremely important for this position. Information should never be marked as changed, updated, or removed unless the current report supports that conclusion.
