Project Overview
This is a long-term personal content project focused on building a creator identity through real-life, international, story-driven content.
The content will primarily document international travel, work-related journeys, experiences, adventures, people, challenges, and unexpected situations while moving between India and the USA.
The objective is to create content that feels real, natural, relatable, curious, and entertaining, rather than highly produced or overly cinematic.
Project Target
Total Reels: 100
Minimum Output: 3 Reels edited and uploaded every day
Platforms:
Instagram Reels
YouTube Shorts
The same core video can be adapted for both platforms where appropriate.
Video Duration
Preferred duration: 90–120 seconds
Videos should be long enough to tell a complete story but should never feel unnecessarily stretched.
Every second should contribute to the story.
Editing Style
The editing should be:
Minimal + Clean + Fast + Story-Focused
Priority:
Story > Personality > Retention > Visuals > Effects
Avoid excessive transitions, unnecessary effects, flashy animations, or over-editing.
The videos should feel like a real person documenting real life, not like a commercial advertisement.
Storytelling Approach
Every Reel should have a clear narrative structure:
HOOK → SETUP → STORY → BUILD-UP → PAYOFF
The opening seconds are extremely important.
Do not begin with:
Long greetings
Slow introductions
Unnecessary establishing shots
Random footage without context
Clips that don't immediately contribute to the story
The viewer should immediately have a reason to continue watching.
Raw Footage
A single Reel may contain footage from multiple clips, locations, conversations and different moments.
Editors should identify:
The strongest opening moment
Interesting reactions
Useful B-roll
Important conversations
Funny or unexpected moments
Emotional moments
Natural interactions
Strong visual moments
Do not simply place clips in chronological order.
The job is to find the story inside the footage.
Captions
Every Reel should have clean and accurate subtitles.
Captions should:
Be easy to read
Match the spoken words accurately
Highlight important words where appropriate
Avoid excessive animation
Maintain consistent placement and style
Music & Sound
Use background music only when it improves the story.
Voice should always remain clear and dominant.
Natural sounds can be retained when they add authenticity, including:
Airport ambience
Car sounds
Road noise
Crowd sounds
Hotel/restaurant ambience
Natural reactions
Environmental sounds
Visual Style
Overall style:
Raw + Real + Premium + Fast + Personal
Do not make every Reel look exactly the same.
Different stories may require different treatment:
Funny
Emotional
Cinematic
Informational
Fast-paced
Conversational
Experimental
However, the overall personality and identity of the channel should remain consistent.
Content Personality
The creator should be portrayed as someone with an unusual international lifestyle, regularly moving between India and the USA and experiencing situations that most people do not normally see.
The content should create curiosity.
Do not explain everything.
Certain aspects of the creator's professional life should intentionally remain undisclosed to create an ongoing sense of mystery.
Cover / Thumbnail Frame
Choose a strong frame from the video for Instagram and YouTube.
Prioritize:
Face and expression
Strong emotion
Interesting situation
Clear visual context
Avoid cluttered graphics and unnecessary text.
Daily Delivery Requirement
Every day, a minimum of:
3 finished Reels
Each Reel must be:
Fully edited
Captioned
Properly formatted vertically
Exported in high quality
Ready for Instagram and YouTube
File Organization
Maintain the following folder structure:
CONTENT PROJECT
→ RAW FOOTAGE
→ EDITING
→ FINAL
→ UPLOADED
→ ARCHIVE
Final files should be numbered sequentially:
REEL_001
REEL_002
REEL_003
through:
REEL_100
Most Important Rule
Do not try to make the videos look expensive. Make them interesting.
The editor's primary responsibility is not to add effects.
It is to take raw footage and create a story that makes the viewer think:
“Wait… what happens next?”
The final objective is to make viewers follow the person and the story, not simply watch individual videos.
