Cotton Vastramala Making Machine

Project Overview

I am looking for a freelancer, mechanical engineer, product designer, or machine development team to help design and build a Cotton Vastramala Making Machine. I already have the product idea and funding in place and am looking for someone who can convert the concept into a working prototype and eventually a functional machine.

Machine Requirement

The machine should perform the following process:

- Input: A continuous cotton strand/rope is fed into the machine.
- Shaping Mechanism: Using rollers, guides, cutters, clippers, or other suitable mechanisms, the cotton is processed and shaped into the required Vastramala form.
- Colouring: The cotton should be coloured in the traditional kumkum/red shade as part of the process.
- Output: The finished, properly shaped and coloured Vastramala should come out from the machine in a repeatable and efficient manner.

Scope of Work

I am open to developing this project in stages, such as:

- Concept development and feasibility study
- Mechanical design and CAD modelling
- Prototype development
- Testing and iterations
- Final machine fabrication

Ideal Freelancer

Looking for someone with experience in:

- Machine design and automation
- Mechanical product development
- Textile/cotton processing machinery
- Prototype development and fabrication

If you have worked on custom machinery, automation systems, or similar manufacturing equipment, please share your experience, approach, timeline, and estimated cost for the initial design/prototype phase.

P.S. - For an explanatory purpose I have attached a video of the manual way of making the VastraMala and also the final expected output. The purpose is to automate this process
