Firefly Fire Protection Ltd — Final Quote/Proposal Banner Design Brief
Purpose

Create a new premium header/hero banner for the front page of Firefly Fire Protection Ltd quotations and service proposals. It will replace the existing city/buildings photograph currently occupying the upper section of the proposal. The existing document uses this area as the main visual introduction to the Firefly brand.

Overall Look & Feel

The design should be premium, modern, technical and corporate. Think high-end engineering/building-services company, rather than a conventional fire-safety advertisement.

It should be clean and sophisticated, with strong use of negative space, subtle depth and professional product photography. It needs to look equally appropriate on a service quotation or a major commercial fire-protection proposal.

Brand Colours

Use the existing Firefly identity as the basis:

Charcoal / graphite grey • Silver / light grey • White • Firefly red

Red should be an accent colour, used for lines, highlights and selected details rather than as a large solid background.

Subtle gradients, shadows, reflections and metallic effects can be used to create a premium finish.

Main Brand Message

The dominant message within the design should be:

SAFETY STARTS HERE.

This is the Firefly company motto and should be one of the first things the customer sees.

It should be bold, confident and uncluttered, preferably white and/or Firefly red against a darker section of the banner.

Four Core Services

The banner should communicate four principal areas of the business:

FIRE ALARMS | FIRE EXTINGUISHERS | FIRE RISK ASSESSMENTS | FIRE SUPPRESSION

These should be presented cleanly and consistently rather than as four large advertising boxes.

Supporting Imagery

Use high-quality imagery to represent each service.

Fire Alarms: Advanced/MxPro-style commercial fire alarm control panel together with a professional smoke detector.

Fire Extinguishers: Red commercial fire extinguishers, ideally including water and CO₂.

Fire Risk Assessments: A more sophisticated visual representing inspection and assessment — for example, a professional document/clipboard/tablet, building plans or subtle inspection imagery. Avoid generic tick-box clip art.

Fire Suppression: Commercial kitchen suppression equipment, such as a stainless-steel extraction canopy with suppression nozzles or associated suppression equipment.

The equipment should be integrated into the scene, not simply four product photographs pasted alongside each other.

Composition

The Firefly logo should have a strong but clean position within the banner.

SAFETY STARTS HERE. should be the main written statement.

Product imagery should then reinforce what Firefly does without overpowering the branding.

A subtle red diagonal line, illuminated red accent or geometric feature could travel through the design and visually tie everything together.

A sophisticated architectural/engineering environment can be used in the background, but it should remain subdued so the Firefly branding and products remain prominent.

The four services can run discreetly along the lower portion of the banner:

FIRE ALARMS | FIRE EXTINGUISHERS | FIRE RISK ASSESSMENTS | FIRE SUPPRESSION

Contact Information

Keep contact information minimal and secondary:

Firefly Fire Protection Ltd
www.fireflyfireprotection.co.uk
0330 043 3989

These details are already used within the current proposal design.

What to Avoid

Do not use flames, burning buildings, firefighters, fire engines, excessive red backgrounds, cartoon icons, cheap stock imagery or a catalogue-style row of unrelated products.

Avoid making it look like a leaflet or Facebook advert.

Desired Impression

When a commercial client opens a Firefly quotation, the banner should immediately communicate:

Established. Professional. Technical. Premium. Trustworthy.

The customer should feel they are dealing with a complete professional fire-protection company, rather than a contractor offering individual fire-safety products.

Final Design Hierarchy

FIREFLY FIRE PROTECTION

SAFETY STARTS HERE.

Premium integrated fire-protection imagery

FIRE ALARMS | FIRE EXTINGUISHERS | FIRE RISK ASSESSMENTS | FIRE SUPPRESSION

Website • Telephone

Overall creative direction: premium fire-protection engineering with restrained Firefly branding, sophisticated product imagery and “SAFETY STARTS HERE.” as the defining message.
