## WordPress Developer Needed – Convert Existing Hardcoded Website into Theme Template Structure

We are looking for an experienced **WordPress developer** to convert an existing WordPress website that is currently built with mostly **hardcoded page layouts/content** into a properly structured, reusable **WordPress theme/template system**.

The goal is to keep the existing website's appearance and functionality while restructuring the code so that the site is easier to maintain, edit, and expand through WordPress.

### Scope of Work

The developer will be responsible for:

* Review the existing WordPress website and current theme/code structure.
* Convert hardcoded pages into proper reusable WordPress templates.
* Create appropriate theme files such as:

* `header.php`
* `footer.php`
* `page.php`
* `single.php`
* `archive.php`
* Custom page templates as required
* Reusable template parts/components
* Move repeated hardcoded sections into reusable theme components.
* Convert hardcoded navigation into WordPress menu locations.
* Convert editable page content so it can be managed through the WordPress admin area.
* Use WordPress best practices for:

* Theme structure
* Template hierarchy
* PHP
* HTML/CSS
* JavaScript
* WordPress hooks and functions
* Properly enqueue CSS and JavaScript instead of hardcoding scripts/styles where applicable.
* Preserve the existing responsive design and frontend appearance.
* Preserve existing URLs and SEO structure wherever possible.
* Make sure existing forms, scripts, plugins, and functionality continue to work.
* Remove unnecessary or duplicated hardcoded code where appropriate.
* Ensure the finished theme is clean, organized, and easy for another developer to maintain.

### Important

We are **not looking for a complete website redesign**.

The existing website design should remain substantially the same. The main objective is to improve the **WordPress theme architecture and backend maintainability**.

We would prefer that the website remain lightweight and avoid unnecessary page-builder dependencies unless there is a specific reason to use one.

### Desired Result

After completion:

1. The website should look essentially the same as the existing site.
2. Common elements should be controlled through reusable theme templates rather than duplicated hardcoded HTML.
3. Page content should be editable through WordPress where appropriate.
4. The theme should follow standard WordPress development practices.
5. Future pages should be easier to create using the established templates.
6. The code should be organized and documented sufficiently for another WordPress developer to continue working on it.
