Hi Guys, I am looking development agency for the following below project.
Remittance Platform — Project Requirements & RFP
11 Oct 2026 · @Dipendra
Summary
We are hiring a development agency or experienced freelance team to finish, harden and launch an existing web platform for sending money from Australia to Nepal and India. The product is largely built (about 90,000 lines of Node.js/Express and React code with 120 test files); the work is to take it to a secure, compliant production launch and hand it over cleanly.
The product. Customers sign up, verify their identity (Sumsub KYC), add recipients and send money abroad, paying by card (Stripe) or Australian bank payment (PayTo or PayID via Airwallex). Each transfer gets a locked exchange rate, full fee disclosure, real-time tracking and email updates. The platform never holds customer balances. Staff use an admin panel to manage customers, KYC reviews, transfers, fees, exchange-rate margins, support tickets and system settings.
Compliance is core. The operator is an AUSTRAC-regulated remitter. Every payout is screened against the DFAT sanctions list and a risk engine; matches are held for compliance review. The system produces IFTI reports for every payout and supports drafting Suspicious Matter Reports, with full audit logging, field-level encryption and 7-year record keeping.
What we need from you.
• Audit the existing codebase and fix what it finds.
• Build production infrastructure on AWS Sydney: CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, backups.
• Take all provider integrations live: Auth0, Airwallex, Stripe, Sumsub, SendGrid, AWS S3.
• Polish the UI for mobile and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA).
• Harden security, fix penetration-test findings, expand automated tests.
• Support UAT, launch, 3 weeks of hypercare and a 90-day warranty.
• Deliver documentation and knowledge transfer so we can run the platform without you.
How we work. About 28 weeks across six milestones, each paid on acceptance. Two-week sprints with demos, weekly reports, and at least 4 hours a day of overlap with Sydney time. AI-assisted development is welcome under the rules in section 13. We own all code from the first commit.
Your proposal. You set the price; no budget is disclosed. We weight fintech and compliance experience and technical approach (25% each) above price (20%).
14. Proposal submission and evaluation
Bidders set their own price; no budget is disclosed. Proposals are scored on fintech experience and delivery approach as much as on price, and the lowest bid will not win by default.
Your proposal must include:
1. Company or freelancer profile: team size, location, years operating, time-zone overlap with Sydney (at least 4 hours a day required).
2. Two or more case studies of payments, remittance, banking or other regulated fintech products, with references we may contact.
3. Proposed team: names, roles, CVs, allocation percentage for each person.
4. Approach to the existing codebase: continue, refactor or rebuild, with reasoning after reviewing it (repository access given under NDA).
5. Technical approach: architecture, security practices, testing strategy, DevOps.
6. AI-assisted development: which AI tools you use and their data-handling terms, how AI-written code is reviewed and tested, and how it affects your estimate.
7. Timeline mapped to the milestones in section 11, with assumptions and dependencies on us.
8. Price, set by you: fixed price per milestone (AUD, excluding GST) with the hours and rates behind it, day rates for change requests, optional support retainer.
9. Risks you see and how you would manage them.
10. Confirmation of acceptance of the IP, confidentiality, AI-assisted development and warranty terms in section 13, or proposed changes.
