Project Overview

We are looking for an experienced **QuickBooks Online (QBO) accountant/bookkeeper** to set up a new QuickBooks Online account, migrate historical accounting data from our existing ERP/accounting system, and bring the books fully up to date.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical experience in **QuickBooks Online setup, chart of accounts design, historical data migration, transaction posting, reconciliations, and bookkeeping cleanup**.

Scope of Work

* Set up and configure the QuickBooks Online account
* Review the existing accounting structure and understand the business requirements
* Create and configure an appropriate **Chart of Accounts**
* Set up customers, vendors, products/services and other relevant master data
* Review historical data from the existing ERP/accounting system
* Migrate/post historical transactions into QuickBooks Online
* Ensure transactions are mapped correctly to the appropriate accounts
* Import or manually post historical:

* Sales invoices and receipts
* Purchase bills and expenses
* Bank transactions
* Customer/vendor transactions
* Journal entries
* Other relevant accounting transactions
* Maintain opening balances and historical balances accurately
* Reconcile bank and other relevant balance sheet accounts
* Identify and resolve discrepancies arising during migration
* Bring the QuickBooks Online books completely **up to date**
* Perform a final review to ensure the books are accurate and ready for ongoing bookkeeping/reporting

Requirements

* Proven experience with **QuickBooks Online**
* Strong accounting and bookkeeping knowledge
* Previous experience migrating data from another ERP/accounting software into QBO
* Good understanding of Chart of Accounts and accounting classifications
* Experience with bank and balance sheet reconciliations
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to independently identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
* Experience handling historical accounting data is highly preferred

3. Historical transactions migrated accurately
4. Opening balances verified
5. Bank/account reconciliations completed
6. Discrepancies identified and resolved
7. Books brought completely up to date
