I’m ready to launch a fresh church website whose main purpose is to bring our congregation—and the wider community—closer together online. The heart of the project is engagement, so every page, module, and integration should encourage interaction rather than simply broadcast information.
Key engagement areas
• Event calendar: an easy-to-update schedule that lets visitors see upcoming services, study groups, and community events at a glance, with the option to add reminders to their own calendars.
• Volunteer opportunities: a section where members can view current needs, sign up, and receive confirmation emails automatically.
Essential features
• Live streaming of services, embedded seamlessly so viewers never have to leave the site.
• Online sermon archives with search and filter capability (speaker, series, date).
• Prayer request submission form that notifies our pastoral team instantly and can post anonymised requests to a public prayer wall if approved.
• Prominent social-media links and share buttons to amplify reach on Facebook, X, tiktok, Instagram, and YouTube.
Design & tech notes
The look should feel warm and welcoming, reflect our branding, and be fully responsive. I’m open to WordPress, Squarespace, or a custom build—whichever achieves clean performance and is simple for staff to update. Please factor in basic SEO, secure donation-ready hosting, and ADA-aware accessibility practices.
Deliverable acceptance
1. Staging link for review
2. Final responsive site with all features live and tested
3. Admin walkthrough (video or live call) plus written how-to guides
If your skill set covers modern web design, streaming integration, and a knack for community-centric UX, I’d love to see how you’d approach this build.
