I need a detailed quantity take-off and a well-structured Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for an upcoming commercial build. The scope includes:
- Creating an accurate concrete quantity take-off based on the provided drawings.
- Quantities organized by building elements such as footings, columns, beams, slabs, and walls.
- Delivering a neatly organized Excel-based BOQ with clear item descriptions, units, quantities, and relevant notes/assumptions.
Key Requirements:
- Expertise in construction drawings with precision in extracting quantities.
- All cells should be fully calculated and free from hidden links or protected formulas.
- Drawings and specifications used for the take-off should be clearly identified.
- Assumptions, exclusions, and gaps/missing information must be documented in the deliverables.
- Proven experience in construction quantity take-offs and BOQs is essential.
Deliverables:
1. A comprehensive Excel file containing:
- Measured quantities grouped by trade and building element.
- Clear cross-referencing of items to drawing sheets/specifications for traceability.
2. Final results reviewed for accuracy based on spot-checks of at least three major trades/items.
3. Notes flagging assumptions or further clarifications needed during execution.
The priority is accuracy and producing a clean, professional Excel output rather than focusing solely on cost. Upon selection, I will provide all project drawings/specifications (PDFs/DWGs) for immediate reference so work can commence promptly.
