I’m looking for a seasoned construction manager to take full charge of the mechanical (MEP) scope on a new-build commercial project. Your core focus will be our HVAC package—from pre-construction coordination through commissioning—making sure every duct, damper and sensor is installed, tested and documented to spec.
From day one you’ll review the IFC drawings, flag clashes with the structural and electrical teams, and drive updates with our design consultants. On site, you’ll schedule and supervise the HVAC subcontractor’s crews, track daily progress against the overall programme, and keep safety and QA/QC logs current. I also need you to chair the weekly MEP coordination meeting, issue concise minutes, and maintain an updated MEP look-ahead that feeds into the main contractor’s master schedule.
Key deliverables
• A detailed HVAC execution plan with material take-offs and milestone dates
• Updated red-line drawings and coordination sketches (AutoCAD/Revit) reflecting field conditions
• Rolling three-week look-ahead and manpower histogram (MS Project or Primavera)
• Daily site reports plus consolidated weekly dashboard covering safety, quality, schedule and cost impacts
• Start-up, testing & balancing checklist signed off by our commissioning agent
• Final O&M manuals and as-built drawings ready for handover
Acceptance criteria
1. All HVAC works completed to local code and project specs with zero critical NCRs.
2. Commissioning documents accepted by landlord and authority having jurisdiction.
3. Practical completion achieved on or before the agreed milestone date.
If you have a track record of delivering commercial HVAC systems on time and can hit the ground running with subcontractor coordination, site supervision, and close-out documentation, I’d like to review your approach and earliest availability.
