Commercial Electrical Estimation & Documentation

I’m ready to move a commercial project from concept to contract award and I want an experienced electrical estimator to handle the numbers and paperwork from start to finish. The scope covers three clear tasks: a precise material and labour take-off, a well-structured Bill of Quantities that follows standard CSI divisions, and all associated billing schedules and project documentation needed for smooth progress claims.

You will receive the latest set of drawings, single-line diagrams, and any specification notes I have. From there, I expect you to:

• Build an itemised quantity take-off in Excel (or similar) that shows all fixtures, fittings, containment, and cable runs.
• Translate that take-off into a BOQ, separating material, labour, and preliminaries so contractors can price transparently.
• Prepare progressive billing templates and a final claim sheet that align with the BOQ, ready for submission to the client or GC.
• Compile a concise document set (method statements, spec compliance checklists, and any assumptions) so everything is audit-ready.

Accuracy and clarity are non-negotiable—spot checks will be made against the drawings, and quantities must balance. If you have dedicated software such as Trimble Accubid, Planswift, or Bluebeam Revu for on-screen take-off, mention it; it helps me judge workflow compatibility.

When you reply, focus on your experience with commercial builds of similar scale: the project type, square footage or contract value, and the tools you rely on. No need to send full portfolios—just enough detail to prove you’ve done this before and can deliver error-free numbers on time.
