I need a detailed Bill of Quantities and cost estimate for a commercial project. All calculations, take-offs, and summaries must be presented in a clean, well-structured Excel workbook that I can filter and adjust later.
Scope of work
• List every item of wiring and cables, circuit breakers and panels, and lighting fixtures required for the job.
• Provide unit rates, labor allowances, and total extended costs so I can see both individual line items and rolled-up totals.
• Base quantities on the drawings and specifications I will supply (mainly PDFs). If you prefer to pull figures directly from the PDFs yourself, please do; otherwise, tell me what you need extracted and I’ll supply it in a usable format.
Deliverables
1. An unlocked Excel file with separate tabs for raw take-offs, BOQ summary, and assumptions.
2. A brief methodology note outlining how you arrived at the quantities and rates.
3. Any intermediate annotation files you used (Bluebeam mark-ups, CAD count reports, etc.) so I can cross-check.
Acceptance criteria
• Every listed component matches the naming and numbering on the drawings.
• Formulas in Excel trace correctly back to quantities—no hard-typed totals.
• Cost columns add up without rounding errors and subtotal correctly by system.
