Structural Engineer Needed – Commercial Building Renovation (Texas, USA)
Project Overview
I am renovating a two-story commercial building in Houston, Texas that sustained fire damage. An architectural designer is currently preparing the architectural plans, which will be available shortly. I also have the property survey/site plan and supporting documentation.

I am seeking an experienced structural engineer to develop the structural design package based on the completed architectural drawings.

The final permit documents will be reviewed and sealed by a licensed Texas Professional Engineer (PE). Therefore, I am looking for a highly qualified structural engineer who can prepare technically sound engineering drawings and calculations that comply with U.S. design standards.

Scope of Work
The selected engineer will:

Review the architectural plans and site information.
Evaluate the existing structural system.
Recommend any required structural repairs or modifications.
Prepare structural framing plans.
Prepare structural details.
Perform structural calculations.
Coordinate with the architectural drawings.
Respond to reasonable review comments, if necessary.
Information Available
The successful applicant will receive:

Architectural floor plans
Site survey / property survey
Existing building photographs
Fire damage information
Additional documentation as needed
Deliverables
Structural drawings (PDF)
AutoCAD or Revit files (preferred)
Complete structural calculations
Connection and framing details as required
Revision support during plan review
Preferred Qualifications
