I already have the CM5 System-on-Module selected and need a purpose-built carrier board that lets it shine. The board must break out multiple USB ports, dual Ethernet, and a single HDMI output while feeding the module from a clean DC input—no battery or PoE on this revision. I also want at least one PCIe slot to support future high-speed peripherals.
You are free to choose the PCB tool you prefer—Altium Designer, KiCad, or Mentor Pads are all fine—so long as the final files are production ready and easy for my contract manufacturer to pick up. Keep trace impedance under control for the PCIe lanes and route the HDMI with proper length matching; I will supply the CM5 pinout and reference schematic the moment the project starts.
Deliverables
• Complete schematic in native design files + PDF
• PCB layout with controlled-impedance stack-up
• BOM with manufacturer part numbers and current lead times
• Gerber/ODB++ manufacturing package and assembly drawings
• Brief design note that explains power tree, high-speed routing constraints, and any special test points
Acceptance criteria: the CM5 should power up from a 12 – 24 V DC bench supply, enumerate all USB and Ethernet interfaces at full speed, and drive a 1080p monitor over HDMI during bring-up.
If this scope matches your skill set and you can commit to a clean, review-friendly design flow, I’m ready to move ahead immediately.
