Clothing Retail External Audit

I run a mid-sized clothing store and need an independent, professionally documented external audit of our finances. You will be granted read-only access to our accounting software (QuickBooks Online), POS sales exports, inventory counts, bank statements, and payroll records so you can verify that every figure on the trial balance is backed by source evidence.

Scope of work
• Plan and execute a full-scope financial audit that follows GAAP and standard external-audit procedures.
• Test revenue recognition, inventory valuation, cost of goods sold, cash handling, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
• Produce an audit opinion letter, a set of audited financial statements, and a concise management report highlighting any control weaknesses or compliance issues discovered.
• Walk me through the findings in a closing meeting and remain available for minor follow-up questions afterward.

Acceptance criteria
• All working papers supplied in an organised digital binder.
• Clear, unqualified or qualified opinion stated in the final report, delivered as PDF.
• Management comments actionable and prioritised by risk level.

Please note that the exact audit period can be set together once you review the records; I will adjust my document pull accordingly. Familiarity with retail inventory cycles and experience auditing clothing businesses is highly preferred.
