Clinical Expert Adjudication Lead, Phase I Consultant

Purpose of the role: Provide independent clinical oversight of the blinded expert construct-validity component without substituting expert opinion for synthetic generator truth.

Scope: Review and finalize the adjudication rubric; help establish expert qualifications; assist in recruiting/organizing at least three qualified reviewers; protect blinding; oversee independent initial ratings of the 120-profile adjudication subset; document disagreements and ambiguous cases; oversee the predefined adjudication procedure after initial ratings are locked; and assist with clinical interpretation of the resulting agreement and intervention findings.

The lead would not see generator truth, Sentinel predictions, or baseline predictions while performing initial clinical adjudication.

Proposed effort: Approximately 48 consulting hours for the lead, with separate limited consulting compensation budgeted for additional expert panel members as appropriate.

Preferred qualifications: Experienced EMS physician/medical director, paramedic researcher, senior paramedic educator, clinical simulation/competency expert, or comparable clinician with strong experience in HALO procedural competency, EMS education, airway/procedural performance, clinical quality, or competency assessment. U.S. citizenship is required due to government access requirements.
