Clean Mobile Phone Audio

I have several short voice clips—under half an hour in total—recorded on my phone while I was standing near a busy road. The constant traffic rumble and the occasional horn make it hard for me to make out the conversation. This is strictly for personal use; I just want to hear what was said clearly.

What I need is straightforward: reduce or remove the traffic noise, enhance the voices, and deliver a natural-sounding result without the metallic or “underwater” artifacts that heavy noise reduction can introduce. Standard audio-repair tools such as iZotope RX, Adobe Audition, Audacity with appropriate plugins, or similar suites are perfectly fine as long as the outcome is clean and intelligible.

Deliverables
• A separate cleaned file for each original clip, supplied in WAV or high-quality MP3
• A brief note (a few lines is enough) outlining the key steps or settings you used, so I understand how the improvement was achieved

Acceptance criteria: voices must be intelligible at normal listening volume with traffic noise reduced to a level that no longer distracts from the conversation.
