I am undertaking a city-scale urban management initiative that balances two priorities in equal measure: updating our official zoning schema and creating a comprehensive, GIS-ready street-naming database. The goal is to deliver a single, authoritative geospatial layer that planners, utility companies, emergency services, and the public can rely on.

Scope of work
• Compile, clean, and geocode all existing street centre-lines, then apply a logical, culturally appropriate naming convention.
• Digitise or reconcile current zoning ordinances into one seamless city layer so every parcel clearly reflects its designated land-use category.
• Ensure every feature is topology-clean and compatible with common platforms such as ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, and web-map services (WMS/WFS).
• Provide clear metadata explaining naming rules, zoning codes, and any assumptions made.

Acceptance criteria
1. Shapefile/GeoPackage (or equivalent) containing streets with finalised names plus a field for legacy names.
2. Shapefile/GeoPackage detailing zoning classifications city-wide, ready for publication on our open-data portal.
3. PDF map series and a brief technical note documenting workflow and validation checks.

If you have experience aligning municipal datasets, handling large geospatial files, and producing polished cartographic outputs, your expertise will be invaluable on this project.
