I’m planning a brand-new, city-wide wireless network that will operate as an ISP for three distinct user groups: households that demand high-speed connectivity, offices that need business-grade reliability, and the general public who will enjoy open Wi-Fi hotspots across parks and busy streets. The goal is to create an end-to-end design—everything from spectrum planning and back-haul topology (licensed or unlicensed microwave, millimeter-wave, or equivalent) right through to customer-premises equipment and user authentication.

Here’s what I need from you, the network engineer:

• A complete architecture proposal covering core, distribution, and access layers, including redundancy and QoS policies for voice, video, and data.
• Link-budget calculations, capacity modelling, and coverage heatmaps that prove the design will meet residential gigabit tiers as well as lower-latency business SLAs.
• An equipment bill of materials specifying radios, antennas, routing/switching gear, and management platforms (MikroTik, Cambium, Ubiquiti, Cisco, Juniper—or your preferred stack with justification).
• Security and subscriber-management framework—AAA, captive portal for public Wi-Fi, and lawful intercept compliance.
• A phased rollout and migration plan highlighting critical milestones, risk points, and rough labour estimates so we can align contractors and permitting.

Success criteria:
1. Predictable throughput of 100 Mbps+ per residential subscriber, 500 Mbps symmetric for business plans, and seamless roaming on public Wi-Fi.
