I have a series of upcoming city-based cultural trips on the calendar and need a freelance Trip Captain who can keep the program running smoothly from the moment our guests arrive until the last farewell. The groups are small-to-medium leisure travellers who expect a relaxed, insight-rich exploration of each destination, not a regimented package tour.

Your core task is making sure the entire journey feels effortless for the guests: meet them on arrival, keep the daily schedule on track, liaise with local guides and transport providers, handle restaurant and ticket confirmations, and—most critically—step in fast when something goes off script. Flight delay, lost luggage, last-minute attraction closure—I’m counting on you to solve it calmly so travellers hardly notice a hiccup.

Because the itineraries already include licensed city guides, deep knowledge of every monument isn’t essential; what matters most is proven experience managing groups on the road and resolving travel issues under pressure. If you’ve captained cultural or city tours before, kept diverse travellers happy, and maintained great supplier relationships, you’re exactly who I need.

Trips run mostly long weekends and 5- to 7-day blocks across the season, so flexibility to accept multiple dates is a plus. All transport, accommodation, and on-tour expenses are covered; your professional fee is paid separately per trip with clear milestones.
