ChemCAD Windows Installation & Setup

I’m ready to start using ChemCAD on my Windows machine but need a knowledgeable hand from download through first launch. I’m not even sure whether the installer is already on my system, so the first step will be confirming—or, if necessary, sourcing—the correct ChemCAD installer for my Windows environment.

Once we have the installer, I’ll rely on you to:
• Walk me through a clean installation, making sure all required components and environment variables are applied correctly.
• Activate my license (stand-alone or network, whichever is appropriate once we review my entitlement) without conflicts.
• Resolve any installation or launch errors that might pop up along the way—dependency issues, missing libraries, registry conflicts, etc.
• Configure initial user preferences so the interface, unit sets, database paths and report templates match my workflow.

I’ll share remote-access credentials or screen-share sessions as needed, and I’m happy to follow clear, step-by-step instructions if you prefer to coach instead of taking direct control. The job is complete when ChemCAD opens without errors, the license is validated, and a simple test simulation can be saved and reopened on my PC.
