I have an existing video and I want it re-imagined as a vibrant, cartoon-style 3D animation that runs for well over five minutes. The final piece is pure entertainment, so feel free to lean into bold colors, exaggerated motion, and playful staging while still keeping the flow of the original footage.
The concept involves cooking on commercial flat roofs using flat roofing tools and equipment, which adds a challenging and unique twist. Each episode will feature interviews with employees, competitors, and celebrity guests (friends of mine), creating a dynamic and engaging setup. This will be a weekly production.
You’ll receive the source video plus any reference artwork I already have, including photos of myself and my staff for character designs. From there I’ll need you to handle the full 3D pipeline—modeling, rigging, texturing, lighting, animation, and final compositing—using whichever tools you work fastest in (Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, Houdini, Unreal, etc.). Audio is already locked, but your visuals must stay in sync with the existing track.
Deliverables:
• A mastered 3D animated video (4K MP4 or MOV, 24 fps) matching the original run-time
• All project files, organized and clearly labeled, so I can make tweaks later if needed
• A short turntable or playblast of each main character for promotional teasers
• Initial character designs for approval before proceeding with full animation
Acceptance criteria: The finished cut must track one-to-one with the supplied edit, meet basic QC for flicker, texture seams, and clipping, and be rendered without watermarking. I’ll review first in low-res; once approved, you’ll render the final high-res pass.
If you have a reel that shows lively cartoon work and can handle longer sequences with quick turnarounds weekly, let’s talk timelines and milestones.
