Business Central On-Prem to Cloud Migration

The task is to move our on-prem Dynamics 365 Business Central environment into Microsoft’s SaaS cloud while maintaining full data integrity. I need every piece of our inventory data brought across, and only a short list of mission-critical custom extensions re-implemented or redeveloped in the new tenant.

A Microsoft-certified consultant is essential because I must be able to show an accredited migration path to auditors when we decommission the local servers. Expect to handle schema alignment, data validation, test conversions, and user acceptance inside the sandbox before we switch to production. I will provide the list of extensions that must follow us; anything outside that list can be left behind or replaced with standard functionality.

Deliverables
• Successful migration of all inventory data into the cloud tenant, verified with reconciliation reports
• Porting or re-creation of the specified customizations, fully functional in the cloud environment
• Short hand-over document summarising configuration changes, extension IDs, and any post-go-live tasks

The migration window is flexible but I would like a clear plan, timeline, and risk list before we begin.
