Billing Support Assistant, remote, flexible hours

We're a logistics company, and we're looking for an assistant to help with billing questions. Customers and carriers write to us when a charge doesn't match the quote, when an invoice is missing, or when a payment hasn't been recorded. Your job is to read each request, check the records, and reply clearly using templates we provide.

We care more about accuracy with numbers and careful reading than about experience in finance. If you're comfortable with spreadsheets, can follow a procedure, and notice when something doesn't add up, you'll fit in well. Training takes about an hour, and we review your first cases before you work independently.

On a typical task you'll read the request, look up the shipment and the invoice in our system, compare the charge against the agreed rate, and reply using the approved template. You'll update the record with a short note, and pass anything unusual to the billing team with a note on what you've already checked. You'll keep a simple log of cases handled and flag recurring issues.

What matters to us: accuracy with numbers, attention to detail, clear and polite writing in English, the ability to follow procedures and stay consistent, and reliability, meaning you keep to agreed deadlines and ask before guessing. Confidentiality about payment and customer data is essential.
